Amitraz belongs to a class of medication known as mono-amine oxidase inhibitor MAOI. Amitraz is used in the treatment of generalized demodectic mange in dogs by veterinarians.

Complete clipping of the coat is recommended for maximum contact with the dip. Please consult the veterinarian for instructions on how to use and follow as advised. In severe cases of infestation a second treatment is recommended 7-10 days after the first.

People who are on a course of medication with MAOIs or are diabetic could have a bad reaction to the use of amitraz if they personally the administer dips to pets. Amitraz should not be used on dogs that are pregnant nursing or are very young/small. Amitraz is also not be used on dogs suffering from diabetes or on MAO medication. Amitraz is not for use in cats. Keep out of reach of children.

In the event of an overdose contact the veterinarian or the veterinary emergency room.

Store in a cool dry place away from heat moisture food. Protect from frost.
